Who is Jimeoin?

Jimeoin is an Irish-Australian stand-up comedian celebrated for his observational humour, playful physicality and relaxed storytelling. Born James Eoin Stephen Paul McKeown, he grew up in Northern Ireland and moved to Australia in the late 1980s, quickly building a reputation for sharp timing and an everyman perspective. His breakthrough came in 1992 when he won Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. His clean, accessible style makes him one of the most reliable choices for mixed and corporate audiences.

Jimeoin tour dates 2026

Jimeoin brings Ballyhoo to Australia through 2026 and into 2027, with dates in Byron Bay, Noosa Heads, Launceston, Sutherland, Bowral, Goulburn, Shepparton, Echuca and Barwon Heads, alongside a UK and Ireland season. His Australian tours generally sell out in advance, often with extra shows added, and he is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe and Montreal’s Just For Laughs.

During the 1990s Jimeoin became a familiar face on Australian television, appearing on Full Frontal and later starring in his own series, The Jimeoin Show. His UK credits include Live at the Apollo and Sunday Night at the Palladium, and he has appeared on Rove, The Panel and Thank God You’re Here.
